Who you contract with
London Property Compliance LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 17021630. Registered office: London, United Kingdom. Email info@lpcuk.uk; telephone 0330 059 0555. LPC is not VAT registered; no VAT is added.
Your booking and price
A preferred visit date is a request until LPC confirms it. Your service, property, scope and total price are shown before you pay. If we cannot fulfil your booking and you do not agree an alternative, we will refund the payment. Additional properties, appliances, circuits, access requirements or work outside the agreed scope require an agreed quotation before additional work starts. We do not promise a particular certificate rating or a satisfactory inspection outcome.
Consumer cancellation rights
If you book as a consumer online or by telephone, you normally have 14 days from entering the service contract to cancel without giving a reason. Tell us clearly by email, telephone or post. You may use the model form on our refunds page, but you do not have to use it. These rights do not restrict your statutory rights if a service is not supplied with reasonable care and skill.
Visits during the cancellation period
We will only start a service during your 14-day cancellation period if you expressly request this. If you cancel after requested work has started, you may have to pay a reasonable amount proportionate to the service already supplied. You lose the cancellation right only once the service is fully performed, where you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that consequence beforehand. Choosing an early date alone is not your express request: the separate checkbox records your choice. If you do not request early performance, contact us to arrange a visit after the cancellation period.
Refunds and changes
Where a cancellation refund is due, we will refund without undue delay and within 14 days of being informed of your cancellation, normally using the original payment method. A lawful proportionate deduction for work already supplied will be explained. Contact us as soon as possible to request a different appointment. Any charge for a change, failed access or cancellation outside the statutory period must be disclosed and agreed in advance and must be fair; these terms do not create an automatic call-out or cancellation fee.
Access, reports and scope
Provide accurate property and contact details, safe access and any evidence we reasonably need. Tell us about access restrictions or relevant hazards before the visit. We will confirm the service scope and expected report timing for your instruction. Missing information, restricted access or further investigation may affect completion; we will explain any revised arrangements. An inspection or certificate does not include remedial work unless expressly included. The person assigned will hold the qualifications required for the agreed service; ask us for their relevant registration details.
Complaints and liability
Contact info@lpcuk.uk with your booking reference and the issue so we can investigate. If dissatisfied, ask for a further review. You may obtain independent advice from Citizens Advice. We do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or your statutory consumer rights. We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill; nothing here imposes an arbitrary liability cap.
Business instructions and governing law
Statutory consumer cooling-off rights generally apply to individuals acting outside their trade or profession. For business instructions, the agreed written scope and quotation apply alongside these terms. The law of England and Wales applies, without removing any mandatory consumer protection or right to bring proceedings available where you live.
